Our First Week
The “Christian Camper” week was held June 10th-15th at the White Mills Hotel. There were 37 people in attendance for our first ever session of camp.

We Bought A Camp
White Mills Christian Assembly was formed in February and on March 23rd the White Mills Hotel property was purchased.

First Dorms
After paying off the original debt on the property, a boy’s dorm and girl’s dorm were built to house the increasing number of campers.

500 Campers!
For the first time ever, more than 500 campers attend White Mills camp programs in a single summer.

Chapel
The building being used for worship becomes unrepairable so the camp builds a permeant chapel for the property.

Chief Perkins
With the increasing growth of the camp, Chief Perkins is hired as the camp’s first ever year round camp manager. Chief served as camp manager from 1974-1983.

750 Campers!
For the first time ever, more than 750 campers attend White Mills camp programs in a single summer.

Hotel Dining Room Expansion
With the increase of campers, the camp’s dining hall is expanded to a max capacity of 150 people.

Ron Heller
Ron was hired in the fall of 1983 and went on to serve as camp manager until 2002. After retiring, Ron and his wife continued to serve the camp as its caretakers.

Founders Dorm
As camper numbers continue to grow, an additional dorm is added to the camp property.

Builders & Alumni Dorms
Camper numbers continue to rise, so two additional dorms are added to eventually take place of the camp’s original dorms.

Ben Fulcher
Ben was hired in the spring of 2005 to serve as the camp manager.

Retreat Center Phase 1
The camp begins a three phase building project to accommodate expanding its programs. This phase adds new offices, classrooms, meeting areas, and a gym.

New Pool & Debt Paid
The camp is the beneficiary of Mrs. Josephine Carter. These funds allowed the camp to retire the Phase 1 Retreat Center debt and build a brand new pool facility.

1,500 Campers!
For the first time ever, more than 1,500 campers attend White Mills camp programs in a single summer.

Zip Line
A pair of 1,000 ft zip lines are added along the Nolin River adding a unique adventure element to the camp program.

Retreat Center Phase 2
An addition is added to the Retreat Center that includes a new kitchen and dining room facility with seating for 300 people. The debt is paid off only a month after opening.
